A friend of mine has been working with water colors recently and while I was visiting him I looked through his notebooks and he mentioned that he loves skys, but hasn't been able to create anything that he liked. So, once I got back to my paints I took a picture of some interesting clouds and used them as inspiration for the the painting above. I also used different paints then I used for the watercolor face below. I like the new paints much more. They allow for more saturation easier.
